RISE UP WITH US & LRHS
SPONSOR A BAG
On May 13th, 2025, we’re returning to Laurentian Regional High School—the high school of Jodi, Jillian, and Jordan—for a very special reason.
This school holds deep meaning for us. It’s where lifelong friendships were built, where memories with Jordan were made, and where the roots of The Jordan Leigh Foundation first began. Coming back here, in Jordan’s honor, makes our mission even more powerful.
Last year, we shared Jordan’s story, educated students on opioid awareness and mental health, and offered resources to those in crisis. This year, with the help of our Educational Director, Hilary Dagg, we’re going even further—with a hands-on workshop that fosters compassion and creates real-world impact.
During this workshop, students will help us fill RISE UP Bags—weatherproof sports bags designed to help people experiencing homelessness carry their belongings with dignity. Each bag will be packed with:
Hygiene essentials (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.)
Gift cards to provide further support
Warm clothing for comfort and care
A handwritten note of encouragement from a student—offering a heartfelt reminder that the recipient is seen, valued, and not alone
These RISE UP Bags will be personally distributed to unhoused individuals within the local community surrounding LRHS, ensuring the impact stays close to home. This local outreach not only meets real needs, but also empowers students to see the difference they can make right in their own neighborhoods.
Each RISE UP Bag costs just $10 to produce, and we need your help to purchase the bags and fill them with these critical items—so every student can participate and make a difference.
But that’s not all—we’re also continuing our tradition of donating school supplies to LRHS students in need. Last year, with your support, we contributed over $700 in supplies. This year, we aim to do even more.
💛 How Your Donation Helps
$5 = 1 hygiene item
$10 = 1 RISE UP Bag
$10 = 1 gift card
$50 = 1 fully stocked RISE UP Bag
This workshop isn’t just about giving—it’s about inspiring. It teaches students to take meaningful action, to develop empathy, and to recognize the power of kindness. It’s about breaking the stigma around mental health and addiction, and offering hope to those experiencing homelessness.
Together, we’re building a culture of compassion. Together, we are part of the solution.
All donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt.
Let’s show LRHS students the power of giving.
Let’s support the unhoused with dignity—right here in our own community.
Let’s uplift our youth and our neighbors.
Let’s RISE UP together.
