The Jordan Leigh Foundation: A Registered Charity on a Mission to RISE UP for Mental Health and Addiction Support

At The Jordan Leigh Foundation, our mission is deeply personal.

Born from heartbreak and fueled by purpose, this foundation was created to ensure that stigma never stops someone from getting the help they deserve. We believe that every individual—no matter their story—deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.

This mission began with Jordan Leigh McCullough—a vibrant soul, a twin, a daughter, and a best friend. Losing her to the devastating weight of mental health and addiction changed our lives forever. We carry her memory forward with one purpose: to make a difference for those who are still here, still fighting, and still in need of support.

Far too often, society misjudges those who struggle with addiction. We hear, “They made this choice,” or “Why didn’t they just stop?”—without truly understanding the complex link between mental illness, trauma, and substance use. Addiction is not a moral failure. It is not a lack of willpower. It is a health issue, often rooted in deep emotional pain, that deserves compassion—not condemnation.

Our mission is to break down these harmful misconceptions.
We aim to replace judgment with empathy, shame with understanding, and silence with open conversation. Because nobody wakes up hoping to become addicted, homeless, or consumed by mental illness.
These challenges don’t discriminate. They can touch any life—regardless of age, background, or circumstance.

What if it were you?

What We Do

Education & Awareness

We lead school presentations and host virtual workshops to educate youth and communities on the realities of addiction, the power of language, and how stigma prevents people from seeking help. We emphasize compassion, open-mindedness, and understanding.

Our workshops are interactive and impactful. Students learn Jordan’s story, discuss overdose prevention, and gain tools to support others—or themselves. Our RISE UP Bags program allows students to take direct action by preparing care packages for the homeless, filled with essential items and messages of hope.

Outreach & Support

We provide direct support to the homeless community through regular outreach work—distributing food, warm clothing, and essential supplies. Every RISE UP Bag we hand out includes hygiene items, mental health resources, and Narcan kits when available.

In moments of tragedy, we also extend support to families grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide or overdose— offering donations, meals, or simply presence in a time of unimaginable pain.

Rehabilitation Access

One of our most urgent goals is helping individuals access rehabilitation programs. Far too many people are ready to seek help, but face unbearable waitlists or impossible costs. We’re building partnerships with rehab centers to cut down those barriers and provide faster, funded access to recovery services for those who are ready to take the first step.

Therapy Funding with Body & Sole Clinic

While our main focus has shifted toward rehab access and outreach, we continue to support mental health care by offering therapy funding through our partnership with Body & Sole Clinic. For those in need of professional support, this funding provides access to services such as psychotherapy, addiction counseling, and holistic care—ensuring that healing is never out of reach due to financial barriers.

Live Webinars & Virtual Resources

Our new webinar series expands our impact beyond in-person events. Our first webinar, hosted on April 16th, focused on Naloxone training and overdose prevention. Future sessions will explore topics like stigma, trauma, and how to support loved ones battling mental illness and addiction—because education truly does save lives.
